Sehr schöne Unterkunft im Zentrum von Swellendam. Unsere Gastgeber waren sehr freundliche und hilfsbereit. Das Zimmer war sehr schön eingerichtet und gross. Das Frühstück sehr lecker. Man konnte am Abend zu Fuss zu den sehr guten Restaurants spazieren. Swellendam ist sehr schön und man sollte mehr als nur einen Tag bleiben. Herzlichen Dank für den super schönen Aufenthalt ihn ihrem Gesthouse. Kann es nur empfehlen. Claudia und Enzo

For anyone looking for a for a stopover whist travelling along the Garden Route as we were, or visiting the beautiful countryside around this area, this is a lovely place to stay and full of character, the hosts Desmond and Wilma are also charming, engaging and great hosts.

Lovely welcoming family run B&B in beautiful Swellendam. Excellent stopping off point on the Garden Route. Best breakfast I had in South Africa made by the very friendly host! the bedtime glass of port was delightful.

This was an amazing find; this lovingly restored old pastor’s house presents huge comfortable rooms with lovely open areas to meet other guests. Our room, with its private balcony is big enough for four king sized beds and to still have an elegant party.

The decor has had no expense spared with expertly designed pine tongue and groove paneling and contrasting painted and wallpapered walls, the furnishing is old fashioned and yet still manages to be contemporary, comfortable and practical at the same time.

Lovely gardens and scrummy breakfasts make this a wonderful stay over. Most reviewers say they regret only booking for one or two nights...so stay longer!

Warm and hospitable owners welcomed us and were extremely accommodating. The immaculate pool was a welcome refuge in the 38 degree heat on the day we arrived and the aircon was a plus too, as not all places offer this. Would highly recommend De Oude Pastorie.

De Oude Pastorie offers 5 star accommodation with luxury rooms in a historic home and excellent hospitality. Possibly the best guesthouse in Swellendam. The owners, Desmond and Wilma, will make your stay an absolute pleasure.
